Judo in Japan is deeply rooted in both education and culture, and its practice extends far beyond the dojo—it’s a way of life that begins in childhood and continues through adulthood. One of the unique aspects of this tour is the opportunity to see how judo is integrated into the Japanese school system. We’ll visit elementary schools, high schools, and universities to observe how judo is taught at each stage, witnessing the discipline, respect, and technical growth that are emphasized throughout a student’s development. This structured and lifelong approach to judo training is a powerful reflection of how Japan nurtures both the physical and moral aspects of its youth through martial arts, offering participants a rare and meaningful insight into the soul of judo as it’s lived in its country of origin.
